Continuing the picture set from Norman Hayes when he visited Lenton Lane about six weeks after filming finished on Crossroads Mark III.
Might as well do some explaining on these callsheet things here. These are basically work schedules that tell the cast when they're due in and where they have to go. The callsheet featured here is self explanatory in places - you can see that its filming scheduled to be done on December 18th, 2002. It gives details of working hours (8am-7pm), when to be on set (8:30am), lunch (12:30pm), estimated wrapping time (finishing - 6:45pm). Sunrise and sunset times are useful for after dark scenes don't you know? Further down the list is where filming will take place and the scenes to be done. Filming for pretty much any TV production is done out of sequence - you can see from the first page that they film two scenes for Episode 44, then one for episodes 45, 43, 44, 43 and then scenes for episode 32! PG = script pages. LOC = Location (cross-listed from above), a synopsis of the scene and who is present. On the second page is a cast list of who's needed, where and when. As an example, you can see that John Bowler goes to P/UP (whatever that is) at 1:30pm. Makeup at 1:45, wardrobe at 2 and be on set for 2:15. Meanwhile background details are for the extras, the people who populate the back of the screen and say nothing. Art Dept/Props - each prop needed is tied to the scene(s) that day where its needed for filming. You can see that Beena's shrine to Ryan is needed for when scene 2 of episode 41 is filmed (note that the final production does not always have all the scenes in it in the order that they were filmed). Aksi a call for Ethan's car to be present at 2pm. Medical details, first aid kit locations, facilities, catering details (breakfast for 20 and lunch for 47 and sandwiches at 4:30. Yum.) A rush, incidentally, is a shoot, or when something has been filmed. It goes to the VT department who put it all together and make a show. With thanks to Norman Hayes for the the article and pictures.
