Lorraine is an American guru who's
purpose in life is to run self motivation seminars at
various establishments around the country. Her
daughter and Des were passionate about each other, but
Des found himself torn between mother and daughter. Was

Sally Hamilton
|
Sally is the gorgeous daughter of
Lorraine, who is hardly keen for her to have her own
relationship or life. She liked Des when she saw him, but
immediately dumped him when she caught him in a
passionate kiss with her mother! Poor Des was
heartbroken. Sally is presumably with mother in a seminar

Oona Stocks
|
Mother of Mandy, introduced in Summer
of 2001 and is a regular now. Initially a laundry worker
at the hotel, she had a catfight with Virginia on
reception and failed to apologise which cost her her job.
Now co-owner of the Knockout Cafe with Dave. Actress Name: Di Sherlock

Dave Stocks
|
Introduced at daughter Mandy's
wedding in September 2001, he's a bit of a swindler and
managed to buy the Knockout Cafe from Tom by forging
references. Converted said cafe into a greasy spoon and
has now bought the apartment from Tom for a fee of £90k. Actor Name: Jim Dunk

Jenny
|
A listener (possibly the only one) to
Minty's pirate radio station, Jenny ended up stalking
poor Minty and somehow got the idea into her head that he
was going to ask her to marry him! So when he refused she
sprayed graffiti over his locker and eventually crushed
"MAD FM Headquarters" which was a campervan

Richard Mason
|
Richard was Beena's latest boyfriend,
he wined and dined her but was eventually discovered to
be nothing more than a pimp and was thrown out of the hotel and, along with his other companion, was barred. Actor Name: Gary Webster

Victor Barnes

A property development businessman, later discovered to be
Jake's father. Popular with Scott, who trusts
him impeccably. Has three daughters - Lucy (adopted),
Hilary and Hannah and was hitched to Diane before Jake
slept with her... Has a house in King's Oak. Now owns the Crossroads Hotel, and had plans to redevelop the local area until the body of a certain Mr Noakes disrupted things... Actor Name: Ray Lonnen

Abbie Baker

A teenage runaway, she was discovered
by Scott in the shed when he was playing truant from
school. He was on hunger strike it would appear and so he
fainted in the shed which forced Abbie out of hiding. For
saving her grandson's life, Kate gave her a room and a
job at the hotel as a chambermaid. Since then Abbie and Des have fallen for each other and Abbie acted as Holly's godmother at her christening. Actress Name: Raine Davison

Lucy Barnes |
Daughter of Vic, she and Jake got too
passionately close and spent the night together, an act
that Hilary took offence to and blabbed to Vic about. His
response was to throw Jake out of his life forever.

Sam Delaney

Jo's new boyfriend who works in the
bar. He murdered Phil's violent stepfather Brian but let
Phil take the blame on the night prior to his wedding to
Nicola and eventually stitched him up and got him put away behind bars for said murder. Sam is also responsible for pushing Nicola down the stairs, though the truth will never be known to Kate as her daughter developed amnesia. Actor Name: Jonathan Wrather

Diane Lawrence

An old flame of the late Patrick,
Diane tried everything to seduce Patrick and break up his
marriage of 22 years to Kate. Needless to say, she
failed. Diane found Vic as a new boyfriend but when Jake
slept with her in a revenge attack against Vic for
throwing him out, Vic broke up with Diane and has nothing
to do with her now. Actress Name: Carol Royle

Arthur Williams |
A new sweetheart for dear Doris,
Arthur was a pianist who charmed her with his musical
abilities. He had been widowed for 3yrs prior to meeting
Doris and finally asked her to marry him. She turned the
offer down! Actress Name: John Cater

Eddie Weaver
 |
Originally a nurse in a detention
unit, he was assigned to look after Tracey after she
tried to commit suicide in a quarry (but was saved by her
son Scott). The pair became good friends and are both
recovering alcoholics. Became housekeeper at the hotel, but was reunited with his teenage son Paul and subsequently moved to Italy at Paul's request, leaving an upset Tracey behind. Actor Name: Ramon Tikaram

"Jaz" Williams

A superficial character, Jaz came
into the King's Oak spotlight when she tipped Rocky about
his beloved dog Ebony being used in illegal dogfights as
"warm-up bait". Later befriended Nicola and
condemed her rat releasing activites but was happy to chain herself to bulldozers against Vic's development plans. Her father is a
representative for a sports company, and her mother is on the local council. Actress Name: Belinda Everett

Josh |
Josh should ideally be prosecuted for
joyriding, causing criminal damage and sexual
harrassment. Supposedly an ex-friend of Chloe, he and a
friend stole a car to take Nicola and Chloe home after a
night out. The car was crashed into a post in Crossroads'
car park but Nicola only escaped being caught because the
CCTV tape ran out. Josh also tried to touch Nicola on the
cleavage and blackmailed her not to blab. Actor Name: Ben Maguire

John |
Virginia's other half, the couple
went on a round the world cruise in late 2001 and when
returned, she was engaged to him! Ever happy to break the
news, it came in return for her finding out about
Patrick's death. However he broke up with Virginia after she admitted she didn't love him. Actor Name: Jonathan Barlow

Mike Kitson

Tracey's new friend, the relationship
broke down because of her drink problem and the fact she
showed him up at a PTA meeting and later in front of the
students, in particular one Scott Booth who didn't like
his school cred destroyed by his mother being with

Holly |
Daughter of Mandy, who was killed
through a brain haemorrage. Is being bought up by Oona,
Dave and Abbie who babysits on occasion. Godparents for her christening were Des and Abbie.

Julie Noakes

Mother of Phil, was viciously beaten
by her husband Brian on a regular occasion and was also
pregnant with hs baby. Rocky developed a liking for her
and wanted her to stay with him. Returned in 2002 and
gave birth to baby Stuart, returned to Newcastle and came back to King's Oak to learn about Brian's murder and could not bring herself to believe Phil's claims that he did not murder her husband. Actress Name: Shelia Tait

Brian Noakes

Phil's stepfather - a violent man who
regularly beat his wife Julie. Took Jo hostage on
Crossroads' roof in December 2001 and was arrested with
conspiracy to kill. Escaped later and came back to exact
revenge on Phil, but was killed by Sam who then buried
his body in the woods. The body was later discovered by Vic's redevelopment team and Phil was subsequently framed by Sam and jailed for murder. Actor Name: Colin MacLachlan

Helen Raven

Helen is Virginia's daughter although she passes her off as her sister. Helen came to King's Oak as a stripper at Phil's stag do. Now employed at the Knockout Cafe (has already been fired once by a bad mooded Oona) and liked the look of one Eddie Weaver until Tracey admitted her feelings for him instead.
