Introduction
In September 2001, a competition started on the Official Crossroads website (available here) which was promoted every so often on ITV1's ECP (End Credit Promotion - the art of inserting promotions for other TV programmes over the end of the programme that is finishing). The competition was a simple "answer a few questions and submit your details", but the prize on offer was a visit to Crossroads itself!
Well, that's not strictly true as the prize was a trip to the Carlton recording studios in Lenton Lane in Nottingham to see behind the scenes of the set and of course see how everything fits together. The other prize on offer was the option of dinner with one of the stars of Crossroads.
The winner of this competition was Ben Cowell, from Newcastle. Planet Crossroads is proud to be able to post Ben's transcript of the day he visited Crossroads.
Ben Cowell has sent us nine photographs of his day at Crossroads. Click here to see them!
