Introduction

In early 2003, the website of the Soap Awards ran a competition to win a visit to said awards where the winners would be right up there meeting the cast of British soaps, including some Crossroads actors/actresses.

Competition winners were regular Planet Crossroads visitors Norman Hayes and Natalie King. The awards were set up originally a few years ago, and 2003 was the fifth awards to be held. Quite a few people from the various soaps, from EastEnders and Coronation Street down to Hollyoaks, were there. The event attracts huge numbers of media folk and a soap's future direction can be decided on how many gongs it receives!
